The Biden Administration continues its quest to be more involved in digital transformation taking place around the country. Chairman Waters of the House Committee on Financial Services announced she organized a Digital Assets Working Group of Democratic Members. The goal of the committee is to have a more comprehensive understanding of digital assets and ensure through innovation that opportunities are open to all consumers.
In addition to inclusion the committee will determine if additional legislation is needed to protect consumers of such products. While the Administration is very much behind innovation, the working group’s focus will be to ensure innovation in the Digital Asset space is developed sensibly and to understand and address some of the challenges.
